Did you know that? ... on average...

125 people on average per day use the 7-10 community meal program year round

200-250 breakfast / lunch combined per day are served by the 7-10 Club year round

In 2010 the 7-10 Club served approximately 60,000 meals

150 Lunches ($1.00) and Dinners ($2.00) are served by the Salvation Army daily

1000 bags of survival groceries are handed out by the Loaves and Fishes every week

 

Hunger affects all ages:

250 teens attend the One Stop Youth Centre for meals on a monthly basis

Numerous youth and adults are served a meal at the Neutral Zone run by Tillicum Le Lum

Many children attend the Summer Lunch Munch program provided by the Nanaimo FoodShare Society

many schools are unable to provide school age children with the breakfast program

Not only in Nanaimo...

130 bags of groceries are handed out by the Ladysmith Foodbank

100 people are served on a monthly basis by the Community for Healthy Living on Gabriola Island
